
The thermostat was replaced due to age/mileage. Normally I leave the upper hose connected but since I had the hose off I did it the way it is shown. Keep in mind that the cooling system was drained and not under pressure. I also broke the ground wire that gets attached to the thermostat housing and repaired it by crimping on a new eyelet.
