I scanned this PT a week or so ago and after a little diagnosing I found that the number 1 spark plug was loose in the head along with damaged threads. I cruised the internet looking for something that would work and decided to try this deep well spark plug repair kit by lisle. I was expecting to have to pull the plug back out and do compression and leakdown tests but surprisingly the engine ran ok after some driving. The root cause of what happened to the plug is unknown. The total for this repair was a touch over $130 including the tool, spark plug, spark plug wires (had to buy 4), and shipping. Not too bad considering that pulling the head for repair or replacement would have costed a hell of a lot more. I don't typically show things outside of the realm of chevy trucks/suvs but I'll make an exception for things like this.
