Trailblazer car audio FAQ episode #1 - Replacing the radio with an OEM radio from another Trailblazer. Sometimes people want to replace their broken crappy factory radio with another crappy factory radio that isn't broken. So they ask me if it will work. And I say no, it will have to be programmed. They do it anyway. Then they want to know if I know a way to unlock it. And I say no. Then they find out that the dealer wants big bucks to unlock it. Then they say they should have just got an aftermarket radio. So, this is what you can expect if you buy a radio from another Trailblazer and install it into yours. It will do everything but play music until the VIN relearn procedure is done with a scan tool. If you really want that OEM look and be able to rock out to your Poison cassettes, it's going to to cost you more then radio itself. But, you could install an aftermarket radio and avoid all of this mess in the first place. Stay tuned for upcoming Trailblazer car audio FAQ's.
