This is NOT a how to install HIDs video. If that's what you need, look around the youtubes, that has been covered a million times. This is designing, building, and wiring my own relay harnesses for my specific application. If you guys watched my video for the headlight voltage drop on my chevy pickup, you saw how adding the relay put full battery power to the headlights. The concept is the same here. Now the headlight signal will not turn on a bulb, it will turn on a relay that in turn will put full power to the ballasts. -Do you have to do this? No! -Should you do this? Up to you. -Did I know about the "shove-a-diode" fuse box mod for auto fogs? Yes. If you were done in 5 minutes, that's cool. It took me about 6 hours spread across two days. Look closely, I wore different shirts. -Why did I do this? Two reasons, first, the oem wiring wasn't designed for this (my opinion only), and second, this also gave me auto fogs so win and win. Combined with the mod from the last video, driving at night is so much better with all 6 lights on. -Why are the lights so blue? It's what the wife wanted. She had 5000K and those weren't blue enough. I don't like it any more then you but it's not my truck so whatever LOL.
