A few weeks ago I battled a Chevy Impala which was reported to have some electrical components intermittently stop working. I was never able to duplicate the problem myself so I couldn't get any hard evidence. In cases like this, I use the wiring diagrams to see what the components have in common to help get an idea as to what the problem may be. In this case, that paid off well because everything that was reported as not working had something in common. I think if time wasn't an issue, I would have probed circuit 300 at the switch or junction block to verify that the output of the ignition switch was losing power, and then checked if the input side of the switch had power while the output side did not. This was really boring to edit, so I threw in a counter which counted the number of times that I said "know what I'm saying" or "know what I mean". Thanks for watching, know what I'm saying?
